The book Thermal Radiative Heat Transfer was first written in 1968 for NASA by Jack Howell (University of Texas, Austin) and Robert Siegel (NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio, deceased). It is the most well-known book on Radiative Heat Transfer worldwide. M. Pinar Mengüç was invited by these two great researchers to contribute to the preparation of the 5th, 6th, and 7th editions of this book. The first two editions were published in 2010 and 2016, respectively, while the 7th edition was published at the beginning of 2021, with Kyle Daun (University of Waterloo, Canada) also joining as a co-author.
