prof. M. Pınar Mengüç has been appointed as a Member of the Management Committee of the European Scientific Cooperation Network (COST) “Modular Energy Islands For Sustaiability And Resilience” Action
prof. M. Pınar Mengüç is the European Cooperation in Science and Technology – COST Association, which brings together expert researchers and scientists across Europe, ensures the coordination of scientific research projects at the European level, and whose scientific coordinator in Turkey is carried out by TÜBİTAK. ) was appointed as a member of the Management Committee for the “Modular Energy Islands For Sustaiability And Resilience” Action numbered CA20109.
prof. M. Pınar Mengüç Becomes Chief Advisor to Özyeğin University Startup Factory Green Growth Call
prof. Pınar Mengüç has been taking part as the Chief Advisor to support entrepreneurs in the areas such as training, mentoring and cooperation network, specific to the Green Growth call published by TÜBİTAK within the scope of the Entrepreneurship Support Program (BIGG) carried out by Özyeğin University Startup Factory as an Implementing Organization since 2015.
Applications for the BIGG Green Growth Call, which was opened to contribute to the green transformation of the Turkish economy and industry within the scope of combating climate change this period, can be made through the OzU Enterprise Factory BIGG until November 1, 2021 at 12:00.
Dr. Cem Keskin Attended the International Energy Agency Annex84 Working Group Periodic Meeting
Dr. Cem Keskin attended the first official working meeting of the Annex84 Working Group, which is under the International Energy Agency (IEA) Energy Commission in Buildings and Communities and continues to work on the management of thermal demand in buildings connected to district heating systems. The meeting, which was held as a hybrid within the scope of Covid-19 pandemic measures, will include reports and articles to be revealed within Annex84, technologies to be focused on, smart system components and case studies. In addition to determining the analyzes of the study, the creation of sub-working groups and the planning of their activities were emphasized.

prof. M. Pınar Mengüç made a Keynote presentation at the 8th European Thermal Sciences Conference EUROTHERM 2021, which was held online on September 21, 2021. Organized for the 8th time this year, the European Thermal Sciences Conference was held by the Lisbon Technical University Higher Institute with the support of the EUROTHERM Committee. prof. prof. Mengüç gave a guest speech titled “Near-field Radiation Heat Transfer” at the “Photonics 2021: National Optics, Electro-Optics, Photonics Workshop” organized by Ankara Bilkent University UNAM. prof. M. Pınar Mengüç Receives the “Outstanding Mechanical Engineer Award” at the Ceremony Held at Purdue University
prof. M. Pınar Mengüç received the “Outstanding Mechanical Engineer Award” given to him by Purdue University in 2020 at a ceremony held in the United States on September 10, 2021. The Outstanding Mechanical Engineer Award, given annually by Purdue University’s School of Mechanical Engineering to graduates for outstanding achievements in industry, academia, government services, and other mechanical engineering-related fields, is considered one of the university’s most prestigious awards.
In addition, Prof., who made an invited speech titled “From Heat Transfer to Social Impact” at an event organized by Purdue University Mechanical Engineers students. Dr. Mengüç made a presentation on how heat transfer affects society, especially on radiative heat transfer research. prof.
