Borçelik, one of Turkey’s top steel manufacturers, partnered with M. Pınar Mengüç and CEEE Specialist Kaan Gürel on a comprehensive project to improve energy efficiency. Phase 0, the first stage of the project, was successfully completed with a site visit to Borçelik’s production facility in Gemlik. The facility’s energy efficiency procedures were thoroughly examined during Phase 0, and a thorough report was written based on the results. Furthermore, CEEE presented Borçelik’s management with a thorough plan for Phase 1, the following stage. An important step in achieving Borçelik’s sustainability objectives, this phase will concentrate on putting energy efficiency projects into action and optimizing them.
